Director, Corporate Reputation

As a Director in our corporate reputation team, you can expect a role that is full of variety, is often challenging and almost always rewarding. You will need to be able to inspire, lead and motivate mixed-discipline teams to deliver outstanding client work and service. You’ll be someone who naturally exudes gravitas, have a proven track record in managing corporate accounts and will have proven yourself a successful partner to clients, going beyond delivery to achieve trusted adviser status with c-suite. You’ll have a clear vision and goals for the brands you work on and constantly seek out opportunities for growth.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Day-to-day to leadership, strategic insight, management and growth of client accounts.
  • New business and client acquisition
  • Maintaining good morale, consistently high levels of client service and responsiveness across your accounts to deliver the best results and positive client experiences
  • Pushing for a continually higher standard of agency output
  • Devising, implementing and maintaining account strategy, objectives and financial targets for each account
  • Successfully integrating new accounts, cross sell services and shaping communications programmes for existing clients, that take advantage of MSL integrated communications capabilities
  • Planning and setting annual account financial targets, maintaining commercial rigor and financial control across accounts, and ensure they deliver the desired profit margin 

Previous experience:


  • Extensive knowledge of and connections within the media – UK and internationally
  • Be an expert in all the facets of corporate reputation – how to build it and protect it
  • Strong track record in managing crisis & issues for clients/in-house
  • Experience across the whole marketing mix is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to lead, collaborate and win client pitches and strategically grow existing client accounts
  • Building client relationships where you have helped them to think differently about their brands and opened up new opportunities off the back of it
  • Presenting ideas in compelling ways to the most senior of clients, bringing a natural gravitas and ability to command a room of senior stakeholders
  • Successful leadership and management qualities, where a team has developed, grown and flourished under your direction
  • Track record of delivering financial growth, profitability and control across the business or area managed
  • Masterminding and delivering great campaigns and pitches, through good sector insight, knowledge, innovative techniques and smart solutions
  • Comfortable with running corporate and consumer focused clients
  • Working with creative, content, tech and digital teams to deliver integrated creative storytelling campaigns
  • International market and client experience are a significant bonus

  • Ability to think on your feet, work in an agile manner and adapt to changing requests
  • Excellent presentation skills and not a stranger to structuring intelligent and compelling presentations that win the hearts and minds of clients
  • Digitally savvy, active on social channels and passionate about communications
  • Experience in similar roles within a communications agency environment
